Luminaria Display Supports ABC House

Wallingford, PA — Plush Mills Senior Living in Wallingford joined its neighbors in Swarthmore in the tradition of lining its exterior with luminaria on New Year’s night, January 1. The project is a fundraiser for ABC House in Swarthmore. The ABC ("A Better Chance") Program allows students from disadvantaged circumstances in other cities to live in a supervised group home in Swarthmore while attending Strath Haven High School. “Many of our residents moved here from Swarthmore and Wallingford, and many of the students who work in our dining room attend Strath Haven High School with the ABC students, so it was a perfect fit for us to participate in the luminaria project,” said Megan Longley, executive director. “Our residents are hoping that we will start a trend in Wallingford so that next year, even more driveways on this side of Crum Creek light up the night.”
