Plush Mills and Crozer-Keystone Health System Sign Affiliation Agreement
Wallingford, PA — Plush Mills senior rental community has signed an affiliation agreement with Crozer-Keystone Health System (CKHS) in which CKHS will provide the community's residents with easy access to a wide range of health services.
Plush Mills is a $25 million, 180,000 square-foot community in Wallingford, PA scheduled to open in the late spring, 2007. The affiliation agreement will provide Plush Mills residents access to CKHS's extensive range of medical services and programs, including medical directorship and a referral list of physicians and other medical professionals and specialists. The health system will also provide a range of clinical lab services, homecare, hospice and bereavement counseling, along with on-site health screenings and wellness programs. Plush Mills residents also will receive access to wellness programming at CKHS's Healthplex Sports Club, a nearby state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center.
"Through CKHS we will be able to provide our residents with a wide range of valuable and convenient choices of services and programs," says Susan Eckert, chief operating officer for Plush Mills and Towson, Maryland-based Sage Senior Living, LLC, which owns and operates Plush Mills. "It is a total package of healthcare and fitness resources from one of the best health systems in the country."
Plush Mills is the first upscale senior rental community in the heart of Delaware County and will offer 161 rental apartments for independent and assisted living. CKHS is a Springfield, PA-based system of hospitals and medical specialty centers. CKHS serves areas of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey and is the largest provider of healthcare for seniors in Delaware County.
"Crozer-Keystone Health System is proud to have been chosen by Sage Senior Living, LLC to provide health and wellness services for residents and staff of Plush Mills," says Diane Miller, president of Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park and responsible for strategy of CKHS's senior health services. "Plush Mills will offer seniors an exciting new option in assisted living and retirement. We're excited about this affiliation and our ability to enrich the lives of residents and staff."
In addition to the access to medical and clinical care, Eckert says that the immense array of on-site wellness and fitness seminars and easy access to the facilities and classes at the Healthplex will help residents get in shape and stay in good health.
"The availability and choice of medical services are augmented by CKHS's facilities and programs that focus on wellness and prevention of illness," Eckert says. "This will allow residents to really stay on top of their health and enjoy life to the fullest."
